The Afro-Asian Union (AFASU) announced yesterday, Sunday, January 26, the selection of Luxor as the world’s first Capital of Culture, History, and Heritage.
This decision came after the final round of competition against Kyoto, Japan, with Luxor winning unanimously by the AFASU Golden Awards International High Committee, comprising 42 members representing international institutions and organizations.
This honor recognizes Luxor’s global significance as an icon of culture and human civilization.
