Egyptian film participates in Oran Int’l Arabic Festival

CAIRO – 25 July 2017: Egyptian Drama film ‘Babanoh’ will be participating in the short film competition during the 10th Oran International Arabic Film Festival that will be running from July 25 to July 31 in Algeria.

Directed by Nagy Ismail Mohamed, the 18 minute film revolves around two workers who share a residence where they fight one day about financial matters, and one of the workers kills his roommate and continues to have nightmares and conflicts over the incident.

Released in 2016, the film stars Mahmoud Goma’a, Khaled el Feshawy, Saleh Abu Zeid, Fadel el-Garhy, and has been produced by ‘Rahala’ Distribution and Production company.

The 10th edition of the festival will include 31 feature films, 10 short films, and 10 documentaries. Brahim Seddiki festival curator has announced details in Algeria about the festival program on July 19, mentioning some of the films that will be screened including ‘Waiting for the swallows’ by Karim Moussaoui and ‘El Ab’ (The father) by Syrian Bassel El Khatib.
