Iraqi play to be displayed in Egyptian Theater Festival

CAIRO – 23 July 2017: The Street Theater segment in the 10th Egyptian National Theater Festival will be featuring an Iraqi play, which will be discussed in a seminar held in Beit El Sehemy in Moez Street on Sunday.

The seminar will be led by Tarek El Rabh, Bashar Alawy, and Abdel Nasser Hanafy who will discuss theory and application featured in street theater. The seminar will discuss street theater's role, techniques and its sociology through Iraqi examples.

The seminar will be followed by a theater performance of the Iraqi play ‘Daya’a’ (Lost). The statement also read that the round table that was meant to be held at the Supreme Council of Culture is cancelled.

The 10th edition, which is running from July 13 - 27, is named after the late Nehad Seleha in honor of the renowned theater critic.
