CAIRO – 23 July 2017: Following rumors that Ben Affleck would no longer be portraying Batman after ‘Justice League,’ the actor directly addressed the claims, with BBC news quoting him that "Batman is the coolest part in any universe."

"Let me be very clear - I am the luckiest guy in the world. I'm so thrilled to do it," he was reported as telling fans on Comic-Con, Saturday July 23. He also shut down the rumors that he had been replaced due to his age; "I still can't believe that after two films [Warner Bros bosses] Kevin Tsujihara, Sue Kroll and Toby Emmerich have said, 'We want you to be our Batman' - and I believe them."

The rumors come after news that Affleck would no longer be directing 'The Batman,' with the director's seat having been handed over to 'War of the Planet of the Apes' director Matt Reeves. Asked on how he felt about the new director and script change, Affleck stated frankly that "I would be an ape on the ground for Matt Reeves, never mind Batman."
