Maleeha series director Amr Arafa said that during shooting the series there was a scene that housed 1,000 actors.

“This is the first time to have 1,000 actors in one scene" Arafa said.

Arafa added “Really, they are all heroes. I grabbed the microphone and told them that whoever loves Palestine and is unable to do anything to ease their pain will help them with his sadness in this scene, and whoever wants to cry should cry and in fact all them love Palestine.”

The first episode of “Maleeha” series introduced us to the Palestinian young lady Maleeha who is living with her family in Libya, carrying all the great dream of returning to their homeland from which they were displaced.

This is not a dream or an illusion, but rather a right that will always and forever remains and they believe that their cause will remain the biggest cause in the Arab world.

The first episode of “Maleeha” displayed videos of Israeli military attacks on Palestine narrating the story of the Israeli occupation of Palestine, and their ongoing war with them.

"Maleeha" series gained wide praises after the screening of its first episode.

United Media Services produced “Maleeha” to support the Palestinian cause.

The series revolves around a Palestinian family living in Sallum village but after clashes break out in Libya they decide to return to Gaza through Egypt where they face many difficulties.

Egyptian star Diab lands his first leading role in the series which also brings together Mervat Amin, Ashraf Zaki, Amir El Masry, Sereen Khass, Marwa Anwar and Hanan Soliman, among others.

“Maleeha” is scripted by Rasha Ezzat El Gazar and directed by Amr Arafa.

Maleeha presents the history of the Arab-Zionist conflict. "Maleeha" is a masterpiece that reminds us that Egypt’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause does not stop at the level of politics, providing aid and reconstruction, but goes far beyond all that to supporting the Palestinian identity with drama work that defends the owners of the land and their cause.
