Egypt’s Minister of Culture Announces the Sultanate of Oman as the Guest of Honor of the 56th Edition of Cairo International Book Fair

Dr. Nevin Al Kilani, Minister of Culture, announced the Sultanate of Oman as the guest of honor of the upcoming edition of the Cairo International Book Fair 2025. The announcement came out during the press conference held on the closing day of the 55th edition of the CIBF.
 
The Minister of Culture attended the ceremony where H.E. Hilde Klemetsdal, Ambassador of Norway to Cairo, handed over the role of the Guest of Honor to Khalifa Bin Rashid Al Shamsi, Plenipotentiary Minister and Deputy Head of the Mission of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo.
 
Dr. Nevin expressed her aspirations for the upcoming edition, believing that the selection of the Sultanate of Oman will act as a catalyst for further bilateral cooperation and cultural exchange. Additionally Dr. Nevin thanked the kingdom of Norway, the guest of honor of the current session, for their pivotal participation in this year’s edition and acknowledged their outstanding cultural and artistic momentum, which contributed greatly to the success of this session.
 
The 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair was held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, and was inaugurated by Prime Minister, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly. It was held at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center witnessed the participation of 1200 Egyptian, Arab and foreign publishers, with more than 5000 exhibitors, from 70 countries around the world
