" El Hareefa" movie amassed revenues that surpassed 37M LE in less than a month.

Coming right out of the gate swinging, “ El Hareefa” is a soccer drama directed by Raouf El Sayed and starring Nour El Nabawy in his first lead role.

The movie has performed admirably in its first month in the Egyptian box-office.

“El Hareefa” has managed to win over Egyptian audiences far and wide with its cast of charismatic and likable rising stars, effortless and punchy dialogue, and themes of unwavering ambition and camaraderie.

The film follows Maged — a football player who collides with his friends, who are professional football players from two classes: The upper class he once belonged to, and the lower class he has become part of due to his new circumstances.

El Nabawy co-stars with former professional footballer Ahmed Hossam Mido in his first appearance, Nour Ehab, fellow MAD rising celebrities Ahmed Ghozzi and Youssef Omar, Mahraganat singer Kozbara, Khaled Zahabi, and Selim El Turk.

Previously, El-Nabawy has had incredible success in the realm of television drama, with his most recent work being the social drama RAGEEN YA HAWA, which was a smash hit during the Ramadan season of 2022.

Before that, he starred in the WATCH IT series PUBLIC TRANSPORT, in which he captured audiences’ attention when he portrayed Sayed — the son of a public bus driver, Am Ahmed (Mahmoud Hemida) — receiving a lot of praise on his official social media accounts for his character’s representation of a sizable portion of today's youths.

Aside from EL HAREEFA, El Nabawy’s most recent work includes the Ramadan 2023 drama ELAGHAR, and a guest appearance in the epic military drama El KATEEBA 101 opposite Asser Yassin and Amr Youssef.

As for his ongoing projects, El Nabawy is hard at work on the upcoming Ramadan series EMBRATOREYET MEEM, which features iconic actor Khaled El Nabawy, Hala Shiha, among others, under the helm of Mohamed Salama and the penmanship of Mohammed Suleiman Abdul-Malik. The series is based on a story written by Ihsan Abdel Quddous, one of Egypt’s most popular writers of all time.

He was also appointed by UNICEF as the ambassador of the Shabab Balad (The Country’s Youths) Initiative — an Egyptian version of the International Generation Unlimited Initiative that was first launched by the UN in the region last year.
