The 55th edition of Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) witnessed a great harmony and cooperation between the various sectors of the Ministry of Culture. 
 
 
This year the artistic program of the fair is dedicated to support talented people from various categories through their participation in multiple artistic performances, including music, singing and folk dancing.
 
The fair was also keen to provide the opportunity for creative people with disabilities , members of cultural palaces teams from border governorates, and children from safe areas.
 
This is in addition to organizing regular trips for children from social care homes, rural areas, and people with disabilities within the framework of the Ministry of Culture initiatives, the most prominent of which are: “The People of Egypt”, “ The Garden Of Creativity” and “Be Active”.
 
 
 
The Cairo International Book Fair’s Theater hosted a number of distinguished performances by the fair’s guest of honor Norway, which participated in CIBF with its traditional art groups, in addition to poetry recitals by a number of Norwegian poets.
 
 
 
Cairo International Book Fair dedicated a day to celebrate Palestinian heritage, culture and history.
 
 
 
 
The Palestinian day included cultural seminars and special performances by Palestinian heritage groups. 
 
 
 
 
A number of teams affiliated to the  Ministry of Culture participated in the fair’s artistic program, with the aim of exploiting the momentum the fair has built and to emphasize the value of arts in building personality and clearing conscience. 
 
 
 
The number of performances in CIBF’s artistic program is 104 diverse performances that took place on the Plaza 1 and Plaza 2 theaters, in the square of the Egypt International Exhibition Center, outside the main halls of the book fair.
 
 
 
 
CIBF’s theater houses a diversity of performances including puppet theatre with performances like El Leila El Kebeera. Also there was the traditional tanoura show, children’s choir, folk music performance, artistic shows by disabled people, Egyptian Mawlawiyah, Aragouz ( Egyptian Puppet) show , and the National Circus.
 
 
 
All these artistic shows were performed with the participation of a number of troupes affiliated to the multiple sectors of the Ministry of Culture.
