Dior ambassador and Egyptian actor Ahmed Malek was among the few to get their hands on the Dior Winter 2024 collection while attending the Kim Jones show for the House.

In 2023, Dior appointed Egyptian star Ahmed Malek as its Middle East ambassador for fashion and fragrances.
The Egyptian star will represent some of the house's emblematic fragrances.

Malek joined the cast of BBC’s new television series BOILING POINT.

The series, which began filming in Manchester, U.K, is co-directed by Philip Barantini and Mounia Akl, who directed the Lebanese movie COSTA BRAVA.

The five episodes series is set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and it is a continuation of the award-winning film BOILING POINT (2021), which followed restaurant head chef Andy (Stephen Graham), who wrangles his team on the busiest day of the year.

The series picks up six months after the film left off and sees sous chef Carly (Vinette Robinson) as head chef at her own restaurant, with many of Andy’s original team alongside her.

As the pressure mounts to keep the restaurant full, Carly begins to feel the magnitude of responsibility that comes with running her own place.

As previously revealed, Robinson, Graham, and Hannah Walters will reprise their roles from the multi-award-winning film.

They will be joined by the film’s co-stars Ray Panthaki, Gary Lamont, Taz Skylar, Daniel Larkai, Stephen McMillan, Hannah Traylen, and Izuka Hoyle.

The film has been critically acclaimed since its release in 2021 and was nominated for over 30 awards in different categories, which scored four British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) nominations, 11 British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) nominations, four BIFA wins, and four Taormina Film Festival Awards.

Among Malek’s latest international artworks is Sally El Hosaini’s THE SWIMMERS alongside Kinda Alloush, which opened the 47th Toronto International Film Festival and is currently available on Netflix.

Previously, he played the leading role in the Australian film THE FURNACE in 2020, written and directed by Roderick MacKay.

Malek was nominated for Best Leading Actor for this role, in addition to the film’s nomination for Best Film from AACTA in 2021.

The AACTA is a counterpart for the Oscars in the USA and the BAFTA in the UK.
