Al Watheqya will screen part one of ‘War of Attrition’ documentary on Sunday, September 24, at 10 pm.
 

The documentary narrates the details of the War of Attrition that took place after 1967 war known as the Six-Day War that occurred in June 5, 1967 and how the Egyptian army was able to resume the battle against Israel after few days in parallel with the process of rebuilding the armed forces based on the latest scientific methods.
 
The War of Attrition documentary is divided into two parts: The first part highlights “Ras al-Ash” battle that took place at the beginning of the steadfastness stage, leading to the active defense stage, while the second part begins with the Egyptian artillery battles and the process of revenge for the great martyr, Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim Riad, leading to the third stage of attrition, under the name of "deterrence.”
 
 
Then the approval of the second Rogers Plan in 1970, in preparation for the Glorious October War.

This comprehensive initiative demonstrates a remarkable synergy across all sectors of UMS, including its networks, channels, programs, newspapers, websites, and radio stations. It seeks to offer both Egyptians and global audiences the opportunity to discover new details and exclusive releases for the first time. It also showcases rare documents related to this iconic and historic war.
 
The primary objective of this extensive coverage is to present the complete Egyptian narrative of the 6th of October War, which unfolded five decades ago in 1973.
