NASA chose a photo taken  from the White Desert as the Astronomy Picture of the Day.  

The shot was taken by Egyptian photographer Amr Abdulwahab.
 
The White Desert is located in the Western Desert and spans over 3000km2.
 
It was declared as a natural protectorate in 2002.
 
The White Desert is known for its unique landscape featuring various geological formations, quartz crystal mountains, and wildlife.
 
This makes the White Desert the perfect desert safari destination for travelers seeking adventure in nature.
