In addition to the usual features, this edition is also focusing on the Arab presence at this year’s edition of Cannes, which is witnessing the first Sudanese film, GOODBYE JULIA, and Jordanian film and SHORT — INSHALLAH A BOY and THE RED SEA MAKES ME WANNA CRY, respectively — in the history of the festival while also competing for its finest awards.

"Rarely does a Cannes Film Festival showcase Arab films in every section, but this year is an exception,” said Colin Brown — Editorial Director of AC Magazine.

“As we witness an increase in Arab representation at this year's Cannes, it is with great pleasure that we release the 19th edition of our AC Magazine, which is dedicated to honoring the remarkable achievements of Arab cinema. This edition is set to be one of the most significant, featuring an extensive array of reports on major players in the industry, as well as the vital films, facts, and figures that define today's Arab cinema landscape,” added Alaa Karkouti and Maher Diab — Co-Founders of the ACC.
