Pics: North Sinai celebrates Liberation Day

CAIRO - 2 May 2023: North Sinai celebrates the 41st anniversary of its liberation as it enjoys peace and security that have been restored after years of turmoil.

 

Terrorism hit North Sinai for years after the 2013 ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood regime. Today, Bedouins in the governorate, which has a beautiful Mediterranean beach, savor the safety in every inch of their city.

 

Popular singer Mohamed Mounir, poet Hisham el-Gakh, and Sufi singer Mahmoud Al-Tohamy performed at the celebrations.

 

Locals showed up with their traditional clothes, set up tents, and held camel races.
