French war drama film TIRAILLEURS (FATHER & SOLDIER) is set to be released in Egyptian cinemas on Wednesday, March 15th by Four Star Films, which is managing the film's distribution in Egypt.

The film is set during World War I in Senegal, where a father and his son live. In order to be with his 17-year-old son, who was recruited against his will, the father enlists in the French army.

Previously, TIRAILLEURS opened the Un Certain Regard section in competition at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, which ran from May 17th to May 28th, 2022.

The film stars Omar Sy, who is known for his role in THE INTOUCHABLES, for which he won Best Actor at the Cesar Awards in France.

It is also directed by Mathieu Vadepied, who co-wrote the script with Olivier Demangel. Alassane Diong, Jonas Bloquet, and many others round out the cast.
