‘Sara’s Birthday’ movie to open the 7th edition of Aswan International Women Film Festival

The 40-min short, narrative film "Sara's Birthday" is to be screened during the opening ceremony of the seventh edition of Aswan International Women Film Festival which is scheduled to kick off from March 5-10.
 
The movie stars Ramy AlTunbary, Hadeel Hassan, Lobna Wanas, Mohamed Youssef, and Farida Hamdy.
 
 
"Sara's Birthday" is written by Islam Belal, DOP Mohamed Koushi, art direction by Bassem Hany and the soundtrack is composed by Moataz Mady.
 
The program of the seventh edition of the festival includes 61 films participating in six different competitions, 9 of which are premiering for the first time ever.
 
The Feature Film Competition houses 10 movies representing countries from 5 different continents, 18 films participating in the Short Film Competition while 5 movies are competing in the Egyptian Film Competition and 7 movies are participating in the Ministry of Solidarity’s Films of Impact Competition.
 
The seventh edition of Aswan International Women Film Festival presented 11 workshops produced entirely by the participants, with the help of the festival team and instructors over the course of the past month.
 
 
Twelve children’s films will also be screened as part of the Children’s Film Program taking place throughout the duration of the festival.
 
The seventh edition of AIWFF is held with the cooperation of 
Egyptian Ministries of Culture and Tourism, the Governorate of Aswan, Egyptian National Council for Women, and in partnership with European Union in Egypt, Plan International Egypt, ACT, Falcon Group International, EGYPTAIR, Red Star Productions, New Picture Production, Digi Vibes Tech - Online Marketing Agency and Vibration Studios.
