Egypt’s Aswan International Women Film Festival to honor Nabila Ebeid

Aswan International Women Film Festival ( AIWFF) will honor the golden age icon and the diva dubbed Egypt’s first star Nabila Ebeid during its seventh edition running from March 5-10, 2023.

 
Vice chairman of AIWFF's board of trustees Azza Kamel announced that this honor comes in appreciation of Ebeid iconic role in the golden age era of the Egyptian and Arab silver screen, during which she presented a number of important films which were discussing a lot around women's issues.
 
 
Ebeid has worked with countless acclaimed names in the cinematic field.
 
 
The veteran Egyptian actress has debuted her acting career in 1961.
 
 
Her cinematic repertoire houses a number of remarkable films including Youssef Shahin’s " El Akhar" (The Other) (1999), " El Mar'a Wa El Satour" (Woman and a Cleaver) (1996), " El Azra'a W El Sha'ar El Abyad" (The Virgin and the White Hair) (1983), "Rabaa Al Adaweya" (1963), " El Rakesa Wa El Tabal" (The Dancer and the Drummer) (1984) and " El Rakesa Wa El Seyasy" (The Belly Dancer and the Politician) (1990), among others.
