Director General of the museum Ibrahim Ali explained that the exhibition includes two statues of Djehuti, the deity of wisdom and knowledge in ancient Egypt. One of the statues is in the form of a baboon, and the other is in human form with the head of an ibis. The exhibition also displays a marble writing board with hieroglyphic writings on it.

It is worth noting that the Tell Basta Museum is a site museum that embraces magnificent archaeological treasures.

Establishing the museum began in 2006, but all work stopped in 2010, and resumed in 2017. The museum was inaugurated in 2018.

The museum consists of one floor that displays an impressive collection of statues of ancient Egyptian deities, the most important of which is the statue of the deity Bastet, who was the main deity of the region. This is in addition to displaying tools of daily life, terracotta statues made of local clay from the Greek and Roman eras, and a collection of coins, ornaments, and lighting tools such as lamps and adornments. The exhibits of the museum reflect the aspects of the daily life in Egypt through the different ages.
