Cardinal Secretary of State of Vatican City Pietro Parolin visits Giza Pyramids Archaeological Area - Min. of Tourism & Antiquities

CAIRO – 9 November 2022: The Giza Pyramids Archaeological Area received Cardinal Secretary of State of Vatican City Pietro Parolin, who was keen to visit the archaeological area during his stay in Egypt to attend the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change [COP27], which is currently held in Sharm El-Sheikh.

 

 

 

 

Parolin was received by Ashraf Mohieddin, who accompanied him during his tour of the archaeological area, which included the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Panorama area and the Sphinx, where he explained the history of the area.

 

 

 

 

Parolin expressed his great fascination with the Egyptian civilization and ancient Egyptian history.
