CAIRO – 31 October 2022: October 31 marks the 13th  passing anniversary of the late Egyptian thinker Mostafa Mahmoud. He was born on December 27, 1921.

 

 

 

 

Mostafa Mahmoud is an Egyptian writer, doctor, poet and philosopher. He has authored 89 books, ranging from stories, short novels, scientific, philosophical, social and religious books.

 

 

 

 

Mostafa Kamal Mahmoud Hussein Al-Mahfouz, known as "Mostafa Mahmoud", was born on December 27, 1921 in Shebin Al-Kom - Menoufia, Egypt, to a middle class family.

 

 

 

 

He was often ill in his childhood, which led to his failure of three years in primary school and his inability to play like other children.

 

 

 

 

He studied medicine and graduated in 1953 and majored in chest diseases, but he devoted himself to writing and research in 1960.

 

 

 

 

Mostafa Mahmoud has authored 89 books in various topics and fields, some of them are scientific, others are philosophical, and others are literary, political, social and religious.

 

 

 

 

He also mastered writing plays and tales, in addition to travel stories. His style is characterized by attractiveness, depth and simplicity.

 

 

 

 

The late writer produced the book "Death Mystery" in 1959. In 1961 he wrote "Einstein and Relativity" and “The Qur'an for a Modern Understanding" in 1969.

 

 

 

 

In 1970 he wrote his famous book "My Journey from Doubt to Faith". After that, Mahmoud wrote countless books and articles.
