CAIRO – 20 October 2022: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Nevine el-Kilani, decided to hold the 6th Golden Voice competition, organized by the Cultural Development Fund sector, after a two-year hiatus, in support of the Egyptian state’s efforts to raise public taste, and to encourage young singing talents nationwide.

 

 

 

 

Kilani also directed the creation of a grand prize for the competition in the name of the late iconic singer Mohsen Farouk, in recognition of his role in establishing the competition, his contributions in defending Egypt's musical identity and heritage, and being one of the first generation of the Arab Music Ensemble at the Egyptian Opera House.

 

 

 

 

According to the Head of the Cultural Development Fund sector Fathi Abdel Wahab, application for the competition will be held from October 20 to November 20.
