How is the work representing Egypt at Venice International Biennale of Architecture selected?

CAIRO – 3 October 2022: On its official Facebook page, Egypt’s National Organization for Urban Harmony posted the way of selecting the competing works set to represent Egypt at the Venice International Biennale of Architecture.

 

 

 

 

Among the tasks of the jury is to approve the competition brochure, lay the foundations and criteria for the judging process, and choose one or more winning works to represent Egypt in the Biennale. 

 

 

 

 

If more than one work wins, the jury chooses the head of the work team from among the heads of the winning teams, develop a report on the competition result and what can be useful for the winning work and develop a calendar report on the competition in general.

 

 

 

 

The deadline for receiving inquiries is October 15. The deadline for submitting the competition outputs at the agency’s headquarters or by mail is on November 17.

 

 

 

 

The competition will take place from November 21 to November 22. The results will be announced and the exhibition of the winning works will be held on November 24.Submission of executive drawings for the winning work will be held on December 21.

 

 

 

 

Completion of work preparation and processing will be on March 15, 2023. Installation and implementation of the work in Venice will be on May 2, 2023. Preparation for the opening ceremony will be on May 17, 2023.
