This alabaster statue features one of the most famous ancient Egyptian deities, the crocodile god of the Nile, Sobek. 
 
Dated to the 18th Dynasty, the figure of Sobek is seated and wears a sun-disc with plumes and twisted ram horns crown.
 
 
He presents the ‘ankh’ to a smaller standing figure of king Amenhotep III. 
 
The rest of the statue features inscriptions and royal cartouches.
