CAIRO – 4 September 2022: The new season 2022-2023 of cultural and intellectual activity organized by the Egyptian Opera House begins with a sitting with pioneering artist Yehia el-Fakhrany on September 7 at 7 pm.

 

 

 

 

This will be held in cooperation with the Cairo Forum for Cinema and Arab Drama, under the auspices of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Nevine el-Kilani.

 

 

 

 

The stars Hisham Abbas and Wael el-Fashny will participate in a singing performance.

 

 

 

 

During the event, veteran actor Yehia el-Fakharany will be honored in recognition of his role in enriching Egyptian and Arab drama and addressing social issues that affected the public's conscience.

 

 

 

 

It is noteworthy that Fakharany was born in Dakahlia in 1945 and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine.  He was appointed as a deputy in the Senate and also served as president of the Egyptian Drama Festival. He presented many important works of art in theatre, cinema and television.
