CAIRO – 14 August 2022: The Cultural Development Fund Sector announced receiving applications for the 14th Jamil House Traditional Crafts Program, held at the Fustat Traditional Crafts Center in cooperation with Prince Charles School of Traditional Arts in England.

 

 

 

 

The academic program is sponsored by Egypt’s Ministry of Culture.

 

 

 

 

Head of the Cultural Development Fund Sector Fathi Abdel Wahab said that the grant targets talented Egyptians in the field of heritage crafts, and is offered to support them to preserve the elements of the Egyptian cultural heritage.

 

 

 

 

The diploma aims to prepare and qualify a group of distinguished Egyptians in the field of traditional crafts, through a studying course and practical training over a period of 2 full years, three days a week from 10 am to 4 pm, in the fields of carpentry [wood veneer], stained glass, copper, and porcelain.
