Egypt’s Suez Festival for Music & Singing kicks off with a concert by Hany Shaker

The first edition of Suez Festival for Music & Singing kicked off on June 24 with a concert performed by veteran Egyptian singer Hany Shaker.

 

Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem and Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled El Enany and Governor of Suez Abdel Majid Saqr, launched the activities of the first Suez Festival for Music and Singing, organized by the Ministry of Culture represented by the Egyptian Opera House, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities represented by the Tourism Promotion Authority and the Suez Governorate.

 

 

 

 

The festival will be held at the Suez National Museum from June 24 to June 26, and presents six various performances.

 

 

 

 

In a previous statement, Abdel Dayem thanked Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly for his sponsorship of the festival and many of the activities of the Ministry of Culture, which confirms his belief in the role of soft powers in building society and raising awareness.

 

 

 

 

Minister Abdel Dayem added that the selection of the Suez National Museum to hold the first edition of the festival, in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, comes in appreciation of the unique artifacts it houses and emphazies that Egypt's ancient civilization is a source of inspiration for contemporary arts.
