The 44th edition of Cairo International Film Festival announces the call for submissions

Cairo international film festival announces the call for submissions for films wishing to participate in its 44th edition , held from November 13 to 21 at Cairo opera house.
 
Submissions are open from May 15th till August 15th on the festival’s official website www.ciff.org.eg.
 
 
CIFF President veteran Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmy said that the festival seeks in its 44th edition to attract diverse films that represent different cinematic movements and to explore new inspiring experiences from around the world.
 
As for the preparations for the upcoming edition , festival director Amir Ramses stated that the management has made all the necessary arrangements for the new call for entries on the festival’s website and that the programming work has started in cooperation with the same team that performed amazing job in the previous editions of the festival.
 
CIFF programimg team includes Andrew Mohsen as programming director and Ossama Abdel Fattah director of the critics weeks program.
 
Director Youssef Hesham was appointed as the head of the short film program along with his original job as programmer for north and South American movies, also   cinema critic Rasha Hosny is serving as programmer for Asian movies and Magy Morgan for Eastern Europe movies.
 
Cairo Film Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the Arab world, Africa and the only festival in the region to be accredited as an A festival by International Federation of Film Producers ( FIAPF).
