Egypt’s Ahmed Hatem lands a striking performance playing a different role in ‘Amar 14’ movie

Ahmed Hatem’s latest film ”Amar 14” (Full Moon) has been streamed on Jawwy TV during Eid el Fire.

 

Through the film, Hatem presented a captivating performance, playing a new and different role than all his previous works.

 

He stars as Ibrahim, a simple young man who falls in love with Maryam, played by Asmaa Abulyazeid, to be surprised after that she is of a different religion.

Despite their mutual feelings, things get complicated with the knowledge of Maryam’s family about the matter.

 

In the film, Hatem marks an appearance with a different look than the handsome attractive man he used to present in previous works, playing a simple poor young man who works in a fuel depot.

 

A chemistry between Ahmed Hatem and Asmaa Abulyazeid appears in their first time sharing a screen, giving a heads up on an astonishing duet coming in the way.

 

Both are expected to collaborate again in Amr Salah’s upcoming film ”Ashiq”.

 

The film features 5 different love stories, all taking place in the same night,  a full moon night that turns all the destiny of all characters involved.

 

Ahmed Hatem stars in the film along with a starry cast, including including Khaled Al-Nabawy, Shereen Reda, Ahmad Al Fishawy, Yasmin Raeis, Ghada Adel, Ahmed Malek, Khaled Anwar, and May Elghety.

 

The movie is directed by Hady El Baghoury.
