Details of 9th International Festival of Drums & Heritage Arts to be announced on May 15

CAIRO – 12 May 2022: The artist Intessar Abdel Fattah, president and founder of the International Festival of Drums and Heritage Arts, will hold a press conference to announce the details of the festival’s 9th edition at the Supreme Council of Culture, on May 15, at 4:30 pm.

The conference is held under the auspices of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Enas Abdel Dayem, and in cooperation with the ministry's Cultural Relations Sector, Supreme Council of Culture, Cultural Development Fund Sector, Dialogue Foundation for the Arts of Peoples Cultures, as well as the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Tourism Promotion Authority.

Abdel Fattah stated that he will announce all the details of the 9th edition during the conference, including the participating countries and teams, the various workshops that will be held, the performances, and the hosting venues. That is in addition to announcing the details of the opening and closing ceremonies, the guest of honor of the festival, and participating entities.

The festival is set to run from May 21 to 28.
