CAIRO – 4 May 2022: The Cairo Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert entitled “Egypt in Music” on May 7 at 8 pm.

The concert will be held at the Grand Theater, led by Maestro Nader Abbasi, with the participation of the Soprano Dalia Farouk, Amina Khairat, Mostafa Medhat and Reda al-Wakeel.

The concert’s program includes a number of international classics inspired by the ancient Egyptian civilization.

It is noteworthy that the Cairo Symphony Orchestra is the oldest in Egypt, as it was founded in 1959 by the Austrian conductor Franz Lichtour.

Since then, the orchestra has contributed to enriching the musical scene in Egypt by hosting the most famous musicians in the world and working to encourage Egyptian musicians, composers, and instrumentalists.
