CAIRO – 13 July, 2017, International festival of Carthage 53 edition will open today, Thursday July 13, 2017, and ends August 19, 2017.
It is considered one of the Arab, African, and world’s most important festival. The international festival is housed in the antiquities theater of Carthage and the museum of Carthage. It is an annual festival taking place in July and august since 1964 in the coastal city of Carthage.
The festival features classical music, jazz, folk music, theater, films and ballet. It was established by the Tunisian Ministry of Culture Affairs to bring foreign production to Tunisia and to introduce the Tunisian public culture to the west.
On July 28 Sherine Abdel-Wahab will perform in the international festival of Carthage 10:00 p.m. at the Roman Theater of Carthage.
