Reem al-Jasmi to participate in “El-Ankabot” movie set to be released during Eid al-Fitr

CAIRO – 21 April 2022: Actress Reem al-Jasmi will participate in the movie “El-Ankabot” [The Spider], which is scheduled to be released in movie theatres during Eid al-Fitr.

This movie brings Egypt’s star Ahmed el-Sakka back to the cinematic spotlight, after a hiatus of four years.

“El-Ankabot” revolves around a drug dealer who manages to manufacture and sell a new narcotic, only to get caught up in numerous chases by the police.

In the film, Jasmi embodies the role of a girl who abuses drugs, and who regularly visits drug dealers to buy her fix. Eventually, that same girl facilitates the arrest of some drug dealers by the police.

“El-Ankabot” stars Ahmed el-Sakka, Mona Zaki, Yousra el-Lozy, Dhaffer L’Abidine, Reem Mostafa, Mohamed Lotfy, Ahmed Fouad Selim, Zaki Fateen Abdel Wahab, Akram el-Sharkawy and Mahmoud Gharib.

The guest of honors include Mohamed Mamdouh, Chico and Shaima Seif.The film is written by Mohamed Nair and directed by Ahmed Nader Galal.
