69 - Vitellius becomes emperor of the Roman Empire after the First Battle of Pedricum.

 

 

 

 

1509 - Pope Julius II lays the foundation stone for the construction of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.

 

 

 

 

2008 - Presidential decree establishing Helwan Governorate in Egypt. The decree was later annulled after the 2011 revolution, and Helwan became part of Cairo Governorate again.
