CAIRO – 13 April 2022: The South Sinai International Festival announced the launch of its first edition on December 20 - 28.

 

 

 

 

Four days of the festival will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh and the remaining four days will be held in Dahab.

 

 

 

 

The festival’s program will include a variety of activities in the literary, artistic, and sports fields, as well as in the areas of environmental and community development. This will take place within a competitive framework aimed at reviving Egyptian tourism in the governorate of South Sinai, and encouraging and supporting individual and collective arts.

 

 

 

 

The main program of the 1st South Sinai International Festival includes competitions in literary composition, performing arts, sports, photography, design, handicrafts, and the heritage professions of South Sinai.

 

 

 

 

In addition to the main competition, the festival will organize sub-events concerned with initiatives for community development and environmental preservation, and other events concerned with the artistic community activities, all held on the sidelines of the festival for all participants.

 

 

 

 

The 1st South Sinai International Festival will be held under the auspices of many governmental and private entities and institutions, most notably the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Culture, the Governor of South Sinai, and some sponsors and major hotels in South Sinai.
