CAIRO – 5 April 2022: The International Booker Prize, for novels translated into English, is preparing to announce the shortlisted novels on April 7.

 

 

 

 

The shortlisted novels includes six of the thirteen novels that reached the longlist for the year 2022. The award winners will be announced on May 26.

 

 

 

 

The International Booker Prize revealed that the novels that made it to its list in this edition are translated into English from 11 languages, belonging to 12 countries across four continents. For the first time, novels from Indian languages will compete.

 

 

 

 

This year's longlist also includes previous winners Olga Tokarczuk, Jennifer Croft, David Grossman and Jessica Cohen, along with authors whose works are translated into English for the first time.
