Al-Sennari Archeological House to hold 'The Evolution of Ornaments in the Architecture of Historic Cairo' free workshop on March 15

CAIRO – 13 March 2022: On March 15 at 3 p.m., the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing a free workshop under the title "The Evolution of Ornaments in the Architecture of Historic Cairo" in Al-Sennari Archaeological House.

The workshop focuses on the history and types of Ornaments and will teach participants the geometric measurements necessary to draw distinctive ornaments with dazzling shapes, as well as the rules of balancing, symmetry, proportionality, bifurcation, repetition, and others, providing examples from historical Cairo.

Moreover, the workshop aims to shed light on the art of decoration that has accompanied man since ancient times, and flourished in all ages. The workshop runs for one day, is intensive, and targets youth from the age of 16 years and above.
