CAIRO – 2 March 2022: On March 2, many cultural and artistic events will be held in various locations.

 

 

 

 

President of the Egyptian Opera House Magdy Saber will inaugurate the Fifth Arab Forum for Pioneers of Caricature at 6 p.m. in Salah Taher Hall. The exhibition showcases 200 rare paintings by the pioneers of caricatures, as well as Arab and international portraits of the forum's guest of honor Sarukhan, and a number of paintings that express the negative impact of climate change and global warming on the planet.

 

 

 

 

Moreover, President of the Egyptian Opera House Magdy Saber will inaugurate at 6 p.m. an exhibition entitled "Stories" by the Iraqi artist Reem Taha Mohammad in Ziad Bakir Hall in the Opera House's Music Library. The exhibition runs until March 8 and includes 24 artworks.

 

 

 

 

Also, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will organize the annual conference to celebrate the International Day of Francophonie under the title “Towards a Virtual World from Digital to Metaverse”, on March 2 and March 3 at the Small Theater in the BA Conference Hall.

 

 

 

 

The conference sheds light on scientific and technological development in various fields, particularly in the areas of culture and education, health and innovation, commerce and industry, and environment and risks.

 

 

 

 

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is holding a new lecture under the title “Rock Art in Kharga Oasis”, as part of the library’s activities to highlight important Egyptian historical places. The lecture will be held in BA’s auditorium from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

 

 

 

 

Furthermore, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing a lecture entitled “Medicine between Science and Art in Ancient Alexandria” at 1 p.m. in the Delegates Hall at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Conference Center.
