CAIRO – 27 February 2022: The organizers of the project for the exchange of translations of contemporary surrealist and experimental literature, which was announced at the closing ceremony of the International Surrealist Exhibition, announced the start of receiving participations from all over the Middle East, in the period until the holding of the second part of the exhibition in Saint-Cirque-Lapopie, France, in the summer of 2023.

The project was launched at the end of the first part of the International Surrealism Exhibition by announcing the publication of an English-language poetic and critical anthology for the first part of the exhibition, in addition to announcing the start of editing a huge surreal poetic anthology in Arabic, and announcing the start of translating a series of books from and into Arabic, French and English.

The new project aims to start a series of translations of critical surreal studies into Arabic through an anthology of contemporary international surrealist journals.

The International Surrealist Exhibition was launched in mid-February, in cooperation with the House of André Breton and the French Cultural Institute, with the participation of many artists from surrealist groups from more than 28 countries.

Among the participants is the Surrealist Paris Group -a group founded by André Breton in the early 1920s-, The Chicago Founding Group of American Surrealism, and numerous contemporary and historical collections from Europe, Latin America, North America and Canada.
