CAIRO – 23 February 2022: On February 23, numerous  cultural and artistic events will be held in various locations.

 

 

 

 

The 6th Aswan International Women Film Festival will kick off and will run until February 28. Twenty-Four short films from Arab and foreign countries will participate in the festival, including Egypt, Tunisia, the United States of America, Morocco, Spain, Romania, Russia, Lebanon, Canada, Palestine and South Africa.

 

 

 

 

Moreover, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will hold the launching ceremony of the exhibition “Agenda 2022” at 2 p.m.

 

 

 

 

“Agenda” is one of the important exhibitions on the Egyptian art scene, which is held annually by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It started in 2008 as a free space for artists of all ages and backgrounds.

 

 

 

 

Furthermore, Egypt’s Opera Cultural Salon will host the pioneer of jazz in Egypt, Yehya Khalil at 7 p.m. During the cultural salon, Khalil will review features of his extended artistic career and his contributions to the dissemination of jazz arts in Egypt and the Arab world, as well as his techniques in blending jazz with Arabic music.

 

 

 

 

In celebration of the five-year anniversary of the founding of "Retro Band", the band celebrates its most popular songs, led by the poet Ahmed Haddad, at 7:30 pm at Al-Nahr Hall in El-Sawy Culture Wheel.
