CAIRO – 16 February 2022: The “Dream” art exhibition of the works of marginalized children was inaugurated at the Townhouse Gallery. A number of public figures were keen to attend.

Actresses Ingy el-Mokadem and Ola Roshdy were present to support and honor the children.

This exhibition is organized to empower children through art as a means of creative expression and self-discovery.

The exhibition started receiving the public on February 14 and will run until February 19, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 

 

 

 

 

This exhibition is the result of 95 workshops of drawing and Macramé making and the participation of 275 children from various institutions in a number of governorates. It comes in partnership between the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and the Alexandria Bank, in cooperation with the Ismailia Real Estate Investment Company and Ubuntu Gallery. 

 

 

 

 

 

Furthermore, the exhibition aims to raise community awareness of some of the pressing issues related to marginalized children in Egypt, and to collect donations to support these vital causes by selling thr children’s artwork, as well as artwork donated by professional artists who have worked with them. 

 

 

 

 

 

All the sales proceeds will go to children's support organizations.
