CAIRO – 16 February 2022: The Access Art Space in Zamalek will host the exhibition “The Tender Inner Compass” by German artist Marianne Manda, starting February 19, at 6 p.m.

 

 

 

 

The exhibition runs until March 13, and is open from Saturday to Wednesday from 12 pm to 9 pm.

 

 

 

 

The artist Marianne Manda was born in 1943 in Compton. She studied free art and graphics at the Academy of Art Education in Munich (1982-1978), and she was awarded the ARGE-ALP scholarship in 1982 by the Ministry of Culture of the State of Bayern.

 

 

 

 

She worked as an associate designer in engineering and building machines, and also worked in planning gardens and green spaces. In 2012, she worked as a lecturer of arts and graphics at 6th of October University in Cairo.

 

 

 

 

Moreover, Manda has participated in many exhibitions and artistic activities in Germany, Austria, Serbia, the United States, the Pacific, Brazil, Ethiopia, Syria, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt (1986 - 2016). She also received an invitation to participate in the International Festivals of Arabic Calligraphy in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

 

 

 

 

Manda has been living for 35 years in the East and West, especially in Yemen, and since 2011 in Cairo. She has toured the world on a cargo ship, in a trip that lasted 5 months
