Veteran Egyptian musician  Yehya Khalil to perform at Cairo Opera House on February 18.

 

International musician Yehia Khalil presented a concert on January 21 at Cairo Opera House.

 

 

 

 

The concert’s program includes a collection of his own compositions that he performed during his tour of the United States in Chicago Humboldt Park on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, under the umbrella of the United Nations.

 

 

 

 

Khalil music is characterized by its unique artistic character that blends Egyptian music with jazz music.

 

 

 

 

It is worth noting that Yahya Khalil is an Egyptian composer, player and musician, famous for his jazz compositions.

 

He is considered the pioneer of jazz music in Egypt and the Arab world.

 

His career began in 1966 when he traveled to study in the United States.

 

 

 

 

He participated in the establishment of the Cairo Quadruple Jazz Band in 1957, and he founded his first band in 1979.

 

He has participated in presenting many television programs, including (The World of Jazz) and presented the theme music of the program “Hakawi el-Ahawe” [The Tales of Coffee Shops].

 

 

 

 

Khalil also participated in artistic and cinematic works, cooperated with many famous singers, including Mohamed Mounir, and performed many concerts around the world.
