CAIRO – 10 January 2022: The Reda Folklore Troupe will participate in the opening ceremony of the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum, held under the patronage and in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

 

 

 

 

The troupe will present an anthology of their most popular folkloric dance performances.

 

 

 

 

Reda Folklore Troupe was founded in 1959, and performed its first show on the Azbakeya Theater in August of the same year. 

 

 

 

 

The number of its members at the time of establishment reached 13 male dancers, 13 female dancers, and 13 musicians, while the number of its members are now 180 artists. 

 

 

 

 

Moreover, Reda Folklore Troupe participated in many cultural and artistic events, in addition to representing Egypt in many international festivals and forums inside and outside Egypt. Also, the troupe has won numerous awards and honors.

 

 

 

 

The 4th World Youth Forum launches on January 10 and runs until January 13, in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai Governorate.

 

 

 

 

The forum’s activities include discussing a set of important topics in light of the necessary preventative measures needed to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. It discusses seven important files, namely health care for the post-pandemic world, the issue of energy, entrepreneurship, and opportunities for youth in the post-pandemic global job market.
