CAIRO – 29 December 2021: Head of the Egyptian TV Naila Farouk confirmed in a press statement the death of the famed TV host Azza el-Atriby at the age of 74.

 

 

 

 

Azza el-Atriby was born in Mansoura in February of 1947. Her father was working as a doctor in the village of "Akhtab", then they moved to Cairo.

 

 

 

 

Atriby obtained her high school diploma at Orman School in Dokki, then joined the Faculty of Arts, Department of Sociology in 1967.

 

 

 

 

Among her most famous programs are "Memories and Stories”, “Businessmen Club”, “Marhaba", among others

 

 

 

 

Atriby assumed the positions of Director of the Department of Broadcasters, then the Department of Channel Two Variety, then chaired the Second Channel and then the First, before concluding her career as Vice President of Television for Heritage.
