Cinema has tackled historical stories in several films, but for artistic reasons, it lacked authentic details.

Until came Amr salama's film Barra El Manhag, which is shown in all Egyptian and Arab theatres, and revealed those other stories tackled only by historians, and as not as popular as the usual ones.

The stories included:

1-Akhenaten

Akhenaten is known for being the first Pharaonic Egyptian to advocate monotheism and the worship of a god he dubbed "Aten." However, in Amr Salama's film Barra El Manhag, while using vivid Outstanding scenery, he offered a contrasting vision of Akhenaten who adored his wife Nefertiti, and aimed to build a great nation.

2-Salah El-Din

Salah El-Din has historically been portrayed in Arab and Western cinema as a handsome hero strongly built, a man who possesses youth, vigour, and health.

Amr Salama, on the other hand, chose to approach the narrative of Salah El-Din, who possessed physical characteristics that are unimpressive, in a different way.

Surprisingly, certain historical records claimed that Salah El-Din was sick during the time he defeated the Crusaders and reclaimed Jerusalem.

Records claim he had a problem in his right eye and also had a limp, one that was mocked by one of the poets of his time so  Salah El-Din banished him to India.

3-Mohamed Ali and Omar Makram

It is widely accepted that Muhammad Ali is the founder of modern Egypt, and that the Egyptian people picked him to be its ruler; this is the myth taught in schools.

Amr Salama, on the other hand, offers insight on how Mohamed Ali became Egypt's sole dictator by deceiving the national leader back then, Omar Makram and banishing him outside of Cairo.
