CAIRO – 24 November 2021: The Supreme Committee of the Cairo International Book Fair decided to extend the reservations deadline for publishers willing to participate in the 53rd Cairo International Book Fair to November 25.

 

 

 

 

Head of the General Egyptian Book Organization Haitham el-Hag Ali said that the submission for the new edition of the 53rd Cairo International Book Fair is available through the electronic platform only cairobookfair.gebo.gov.eg, and hand-delivered applications will not be accepted.

 

 

 

 

The Supreme Committee had previously decided to choose the theme "Egypt's Identity - Culture & the Question of the Future" as the slogan for the next edition in 2022, with Greece as a guest of honor.

 

 

 

 

Organized by the General Egyptian Book Organization, the 53rd Cairo International Book Fair will be held from January 26 to February 6, 2022, at the Egypt Center for International Exhibitions and Conferences.

 

 

 

 

A hall is allocated for children's books and activities, and it includes all publishers in this field, educational aids and textbooks, as well as all artistic, cultural, intellectual and creative activities for children.

 

 

 

 

The book fair’s Higher Committee also agreed to grant an award to an Arab publisher for the first time at the 53rd edition of the book fair, with a value of L.E 20,000.
