CAIRO – 10 November 2021: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute, will present the opera “Carmen” by the French author Georges Bizet, on November 26, 27 at the Grand Theater of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Conference Hall.

This comes through a project that aims to bring together international professional artists in primary roles with Alexandrian youth who are studying opera singing in secondary and choral roles, in this huge artwork presented for the first time in decades in its complete theatrical form.

Furthermore, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina announced its participation in the 12th Alexandria Heritage Days, through the Alexandria and Mediterranean Studies Center and the Calligraphy Studies Center in the Academic Research Sector. This event is organized by the French Center for Alexandrian Studies CEALEX, in cooperation with many cultural institutions in the city of Alexandria, and runs from November 12-19.

In this context, a series of lectures will be organized as part of the annual event, Alexandria Heritage Days, for the year 2021. This year's event comes under the title “Alexandria that was and Alexandria that will be”.
