CAIRO – 2 November 2021: The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion, is participating in the activities of the London International Tourism Exchange WTM2021 (World Travel Market), which launched on November 1 and runs until November 3 in the British capital, London.

It is considered one of the most important international tourism exhibitions and one of the most important professional gatherings of professional partners in the tourism industry around the world, which is held annually in the United Kingdom, but was held virtually in 2020 due to the global pandemic.

The ministry is participating with a pavilion of 406 square meters with the participation of 20 exhibitors representing a number of Egyptian tourism and hotel companies, in addition to a pavilion for EgyptAir, a pavilion for the Red Sea Governorate, and a pavilion for South Sinai Governorate.

The design of the participating Egyptian pavilion came in line with what is included in the media strategy for tourism promotion for Egypt with regard to participation in international tourism exhibitions, especially in terms of design, pavilion colors and the exteriors used, as well as the nature and quality of the promotional content that was used in the exhibition from films and promotional materials that highlight the diversity of the Egyptian tourist destination and the different tourist products it acquires.

The Egyptian pavilion participating in this exhibition took on the pharaonic character in its design, as it was designed in the form of a distinctive pharaonic temple edifice in the color of sand, which is the part that includes the VIP hall, the waiting room, and the meeting room.

In the background of the pavilion there is a place for serving drinks and a store for gifts, pamphlets, and promotional materials.

At the entrance to the pavilion there are two large edifices that include large screens dedicated to displaying various promotional films to highlight the various tourist destinations and promote all tourist destinations in Egypt.

At the top of the pavilion there is a terrace hung with lighting and different luminous images of Egypt that express the life, beauty and diversity of the Egyptian destinations, highlighting clips that combine beach tourism, cultural tourism, and various tourist and archaeological sites, while highlighting the logo of Egypt in different colors from the four sides.

As part of the ministry's interest in promoting the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is scheduled to open in 2022, the Egyptian Pavilion has been allocated a place for the museum to display promotional materials about it.

As for the activities that will be organized in the Egyptian pavilion, in addition to professional meetings with major tour operators and airlines, and holding several media meetings, there are a number of artistic activities, including presenting music, where there is a harp player.
