CAIRO –10 July 2017: For the first time in Egypt, El-Sawy Culture Wheel hosts a press conference with Laila Khan on Monday. The event will include the showing of her two documentary films “Stolen Waters” and “6 Cup Chai” starting at 8 p.m.

Laila Khan is British Indian producer and director that earned her bachelors degree in Moving Image from King’s College London. After graduating, Khan would get the opportunity to hold a production assistant internship on the popular film “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.”

Following her work on the Harry Potter film she went onto setting up her own production company, Brainworks Picture Company.

The film “6 Cup Chai” has made some waves in the film world, being screened at the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2014 and winning a Venus de Badalona Award for Best Values at the 40th edition of the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival in Spain.

The event at Sakia will take place at the Wisdom Hall, tickets are LE 15 ($0.84) for “Stolen Water” and LE 25 for “6 Cup Chai.”
