7 Things You Should Know about “Captains of Za’atari”

CAIRO - 4 October 2021: Egypt Today presents 7 Things You Should Know about “Captains of Za’atari” movie: 

1.Captains of Za’atari is the First Feature Documentary by Egyptian director and producer Ali El Ararbi

2.Al Arabi spent 8 years with the cast working on the film in Za’atari camp, Jordan. 

3.The film features Mahmoud and Fawzi, who live in the Zaátari Refugee Camp, and dream of playing professional soccer. Their dream is so close now a world-renowned sports academy pays their camp a visit.

4.Captains of Za’atari was nominated for 15 awards and took part in 82 international film festivals. 

5.It world premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was chosen as the second-best film in the lineup of the festival.

6.It is slated to be commercially released as of Nov.  in US Cinemas  

7.The film will land its Arab world premiere at the 5th edition of El Gouna Film Festival and will be released soon in Arab world’s theatres.
