Yasser El-Mongy to host seminar on redevelopment of art

CAIRO – 9 July 2017: Renowned lecturer and artist Yasser El-Mongy will host a seminar titled “Redevelopment of Art between Past and Present” on July 13 at Picasso Art Gallery in Zamalek.

This seminar comes in parallel to the “Makaad Radwan” 31 gallery of Artists of Single Shot at the Picasso Art Gallery from July 2-22.

Mongy was born in 1972. He has a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts in graphic design, with concentration in print design in 1996. He is also a lecturer at the Graphic Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo. Mongy obtained a Master’s degree in 2003 and a PhD in 2006.

As Secretary of the Supreme Council of Culture Fine Arts Commission and member of the Arab Federation for eBook, Mongy took part in many activities of the Egyptian Cultural Movement institutions.

Mongy is a winner of several awards in research and arts, including the first prize for the Arab Nation Critics in 2009 and high prize from the tenth Egyptian Youth Salon in 1998.
As a writer, Mongy has authored several books and articles in fine arts and extensive critical studies.
